WHAT IS THE PEANUT GALLERY?
Would you like to be one of three lucky contestants to witness the judges panel determine the top 25 posters?
If you have nerves of steel, and you’re available to be in Boston on Saturday, January 7th, you can be part of our “Peanut Gallery” and spend the day with us and our four judges as they decide which posters are worthy of making it into the Top 25.
HOW IT WORKS
For those of you that submitted to our season 2 Call for Entries and are living in Boston or the New England area, here is an opportunity you can’t miss!
We are giving three lucky contestants with a poster in the Top 100 the opportunity to witness the judging process from start to finish. You’ll see first-hand which posters get eliminated and which ones go through to make the Top 25 semi-finalist group.
In exchange for being part of The Peanut Gallery, we ask that you document your experience and share it with the Say Something community.
We will pick 3 individuals with the best ideas for capturing and sharing their judging day experience. Whether you plan to live tweet, draw, or produce a video compilation of facial expressions, it’s completely up to you!
REGISTER
Send us your plan via our registration form and we’ll let you know if you’ve been selected the first week of January.
QUESTIONS
All questions should be submitted via the comments section of this blog post.
NOTIFICATION
Due to scheduling constraints, you’ll have to register before you find out if your poster has made it into the Top 100. We will be determining the Top 100 the first week of January, and picking members of The Peanut Gallery from the best documentation ideas within that group. If you are selected, we will notify you on Wednesday, January 3rd (three days before the panel judging day).
SCHEDULE
Judging day will be Saturday January 7th, 2012, from 10am – 3pm.
RULES
1) The Peanut Gallery is not a step or phase of the competition; it is simply an opportunity to witness the panel judging process.
2) The 3 individuals will be picked from the current season’s Top 100 as determined by online voting.
3) The judges will not know which poster you designed, nor will you have any influence over the judging process.
4) You can publish live updates, however you cannot reveal the status of any poster except for your own.
5) You can document the day in any way you like (writing, photography, videography, etc), as long as you do not impose on the judging process or distract the judges in any way.
6) You can have access to our social media platforms and blog, should you want to make use of them.
